Old Home Day is our #1 event of the year! It is Always on Labor Day, rain or shine! This family-friendly event brings the community together for a fun-filled day of fellowship, relaxation, and plenty of food & entertainment! The fun begins at 10:30 A.M and runs until about 6PM.
The first Old Home Day was held on September 5, 1960 and has been on Labor Day ever since. The first Old Home Day event had community members gathering together for slide shows of hunting trips, vacations, or anything exciting & meaningful they had done over the past year. Local community members and bands entertained the crowd. In former years, Old Home day had log sawing contests, spike driving contests, miniature tractor pulls, and a flower show. Cranberry high schools FFA (Future Farmers of America) held greased pig contests. Bill and Donna Hart organized a car show which was, and still is today, a huge attraction. Bill and Donna continue to organize and contribute to the success of this part of Old Home Day!
Fast forward to today, Old Home Day still offers the car show, live entertainment, and delicious foods. We have also added to the day with a huge Chinese Auction & Quilt/Quilt Rack Raffle, a never before seen 50/50 Raffle with many winners, Children’s Games, a Dunk Tank, and a Craft/Vendor Show. There is definitely something for everyone at Old Home Day, this is an event that you will not want to miss.

We are always looking for volunteers for Old Home Day. If you are interested in volunteering as a kitchen worker, grounds worker, or a worker at the children’s games click here to send us a message. We do sign proof of volunteer hour forms and write letters indicating the hours that were volunteered.
